It was a great honor to collaborate with my longtime friend James Michael Tyler on “The Gesture and The Word.” This experience made me want to continue this partnership on future projects; however, life had other plans when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was in his nature to help others and Michael sought to raise awareness of the disease so that other men knew the importance of getting tested early.
In October 2021, prostate cancer took Michael away from all of us that loved him. Personally I feel an immense loss, but I know that I am not alone. We all lost a future in which Michael continued to make us laugh, inspired us with his kindness, showered us with his generosity, and supported us with his friendship. Losing him has been incredibly heartbreaking for so many people around the world.
In his memory, I hope that we can help further the support for pcf.org as it raises awareness and funds research to cure prostate cancer.
